They arrived unbroken and were easy to open to add the photo. The unit is plastic so it's more safe for children to handle. The kids and parents loved them. Added a few pencils and a sweet treat to the pencil holder and made a great favor!Very cute, my daughter loves it. Easy to place the picture inside. construction is solid plastic that seems to be holding up well. No leaks so far.Sometime falls apart and isn't very practical, as shaking is not easy while holding objects.It is not that beautifull, I can't see the image as good as a glass know globe. If you want to give it to someone, it may not be the best gift; it is kind of rustic.Nice but definitely looks like a cheap globe. Plastic not glass.as the add says it is holds pictures and penciles and pens not bad at all well made I recommend it
