We have the thicker "Easygraph" and the thinner "Easygraph S" as well as both the left and right hand versions. The thinner one is more suitable for older kids from about 6/7 years of age. Once they start joined up writing get the thinner one. I have attached a picture next to a one penny coin for you to have some idea of the relative sizes. The main reason I got these pencils over others is the grooves and the triangular shape . The grooves are a constant reminder to children to check and correct their grip. These definitely help. Maybe a little. Maybe be a lot. Give them a try.I have bought these pencils for use by my twin daughters circa 7 years old. These Stabilo pencils are very good with grooves o promoting the correct grip -- something the schools in UK, sadly, apparently gave up on. I do not know if there are evidences that 'correct grip' has any advantages, but if it is important for you (it is for me) then Stabilo pencils will be really helpful. One of my daughters is right- and another is left-handed, so it is great that both versions of pencils exist.I also noticed, that comparing with other brands these pencils are not easy to break when fallen on the floor -- a boon with children who drop them from the table all the time. However, be aware that two type of 'Easygraph' pencil exists -- this one is cheaper and slimmer, you can distinguish it by the mark HB 2.2mm on the front of the pack (probably the diameter of the core). Another type is marked HB 3.15mm and is thicker and twice as expensive. In general I like the thicker version more and in my view thicker pencils are much more suitable for children younger than 6.So, bear this in mind when deciding to buy them, otherwise still good pencils, unbreakable and promoting a correct grip.I bought these pencils for my 7 year old daughter as she often complains that her hands hurts when writing. After trying various pencil grips without much success I thought I would try these pencils. My daughter really likes them and says they have helped, are comfortable to write with. But they have only been at school for 1 week and she says the lead is wobbling after sharpening in both pencils. I think this is due to not using the Stabilo sharpener. So I have now ordered more of the pencils and the sharpener that goes with them.I will see how we get on, and update my reviewBought these for a child with fine motor issues who struggles with handwriting. These worked so much better than the thicker ones that are normally recommended for learners. Very happy with progress with these pencilsMy kids find these easy to hold and write with. They sharpen easily and the lead seems to be robust and doesn't just break with the writing pressure. The pencil colour is good and is easy to rub out. Will be buying more in the near future.
